Klassenkampf

Die 7. fakultät lädt zur Podiumsdiskussion über LehrerIn sein – Traumberuf oder Albtraum? Mit: Erfolgsautor Niki Glattauer, Landesschulratspräsidentin Elisabeth Meixner und anderen

Knapp 125.000 LehrerInnen unterrichten an Österreichs allgemein bildenden und berufsbildenden Schulen. Der Ruf der PädagogInnen ist jedoch schlecht, die Belastung groß. Wo liegen die Probleme der PädagogInnen, wo im Klassenzimmer? Ist LehrerIn sein Traumberuf oder Albtraum? Diesen und weiteren Fragen geht eine Diskussion der 7. fakultät am 14. Mai 2014 in der Aula der Uni Graz nach.

Prominente Gäste nehmen auf dem Podium Platz:
- Niki Glattauer, Lehrer, Buchautor, Kolumnist im Kurier und Gastkommentator für den Standard
- Elisabeth Meixner, Amtsführende Präsidentin des Landesschulrats für Steiermark

A study by the University of Graz shows that the majority of graduates have clear career plans. The desire for self-employment grows with professional experience and affects all disciplines equally.

University of Graz makes the top 500 in the Shanghai Ranking

The University of Graz has moved into the top 500 in the Shanghai Ranking published on 15 August 2026, placing it amongst the top two per cent of around 25,000 higher education institutions worldwide. In light of this improvement, Rector Peter Riedler emphasises that such successes require long-term financial security in order to maintain standards.
