Das Konfuzius-Institut feierte traditionell das chinesische Neujahr

gōnghèxīnxǐ - Glückwunsch und neue Freude: China feierte in der Nacht auf 31. Jänner 2014 das traditionelle Neujahrsfest. Das neue Jahr steht ganz im Zeichen des Holz-Pferdes. In Graz lud das Konfuzius-Institut, das an der Universität Graz angesiedelt ist und für den sprachlichen, kulturellen und wissenschaftlichen Austausch zwischen China und der Universität verantwortlich zeichnet, zu einem großen Fest. Rund 150 Personen waren gekommen, um auf das Neue Jahr anzustoßen. 

Den Auftakt der Veranstaltung machte eine Fotopräsentation des begeisterten China-Reisenden Dr. Dieter Radner über die "TEESTRASSE VON KUNMING NACH TIBET", die sich in der Provinz Yunnan befindet. Die Vorführung chinesischer Tänze von Fr. Yuzhu Song, BA. regte auch die österreichischen Gäste zum Mitmachen an. Neben den einleitenden Worten der Leiterin Dr. Daniela Unger-Ullmann und des Vizedirektors des Konfuzius-Institutes Dr. Wan Jie Chen, B.A. sowie der Vizedirektorin Dr. Wenli Zhang wurde ein reichhaltiges Buffet mit traditionellen chinesischen Speisen und Getränken angeboten.

 

Das Jahr des Holz-Pferdes
Nachdem im letzten Jahr, im Jahr der Schlange, Besonnenheit und gute Planung gefragt waren, begünstigt die Energie des Pferdes in den kommenden Monaten Selbstvertrauen und Initiative. Holz steht für kreative Ideen und das Pferd als Jahresregent hilft, diese auch mit Schwung und Entschlusskraft umzusetzen. Beschleunigendes Wachstum ist das Ergebnis. Die einzige Gefahr liegt darin, dass wir uns im Jahr des Pferdes zu stark verausgaben oder verzetteln. Unbedingt Verschnaufpausen einplanen. Das Pferd fördert Teamgeist. Wer also Großes vorhat, sollte sich nicht scheuen, mit anderen zusammenzuarbeiten. Mehr Leichtigkeit darf auch in Sachen Liebe erwartet werden. Das Pferd ist nicht so bierernst wie die Schlange und verzeiht auch Experimente.

Yet this is precisely where the medical promise of her research lies: one day, clinical data will be used to create a digital twin of the heart – a virtual model that will enable a better understanding of diseases and allow for more personalised treatment plans. She will be presenting her research at the ‘ECMTB 2026’ mathematics conference.
