Studierende können ab 6. September eine Fast Lane bei der Impfstraße an der Grazer Messe nutzen, Anmeldung läuft // fast lane for University members, registration is open

Von 6. September bis 11. Oktober können Studierende und MitarbeiterInnen der Grazer Hochschulen ein eigenes Impfangebot an der Grazer Messe in Anspruch nehmen. Die Anmeldung läuft ab sofort über die Online-Plattform steiermark-impft.at. Verabreicht wird das Einmalvakzin von Johnson&Johnson. Die Aktion gilt auch für internationale Studierende, es ist KEINE österreichische E-Card nötig. Allerdings wird ein Haupt- oder Zweitwohnsitz in der Steiermark vorausgesetzt.

Folgende Auswahl muss im Anmeldeformular getroffen werden:
Beim Punkt "Die Impfung" ist "Aufsuchen einer regionalen Impfstelle möglich?" mit "ja" zu beantworten.
Beim Punkt "Hochschule" muss ebenfalls "ja" angeklickt werden.
Wer keine österreichische Sozialversicherungsnummer hat, muss ebenfalls das entsprechende Feld ankreuzen.

Achtung: Für internationale Studierende kann die Impfung zwar im Impfpass bestätigt, aber nicht in das jeweilige nationale Impfregister eingetragen werden.

From 6 September to 11 October students and university employees can make use of a special vacciantion offer in Messe. The registration on the platform steiermark-impft.at is open. The vaccine "Janssen" by Johnson&Johnson will be administered. International students who do not have an Austrian e-card can also take part in this campaign. the only precondition is a registered residence in Styria.

When filling out the form please take the following choices:
At the item "Die Impfung" check "ja" answering "Aufsuchen einer regionalen Impfstelle möglich?"
Check "ja" at the item "Hochschule".
Those who do not have an Austrian national insurance number, please check "Ich habe keine österreichische Sozialversicherungsnummer" at the item "Sozialversicherungsnummer".

Please mind that the vaccinations of international students cannot be entered in the respective national registers.

Jurassic Sounds: Biologist reconstructs insect songs from 165 million years ago

It was apparently not just the roars of the dinosaurs that made up the soundscape of the animal world during the Jurassic period. Crickets and grasshoppers communicated through a variety of songs and high-pitched sounds, as Thorin Jonsson from the Institute of Biology at the University of Graz discovered together with colleagues from the universities of Lincoln, Bristol (UK), Beijing (China) and Tempe (USA). The findings on what are so far the oldest traces of sound on Earth have just been published in the journal PNAS.
