Interdisziplinäre Konferenz an Universität in Shkoder

„Zäsuren und Kontinuitäten: Perspektiven auf Moderne und Postmoderne in Zentral- und Südosteuropa“ war das Thema einer interdisziplinären Konferenz in Shkoder (Albanien), welche von der Universität Graz in Kooperation mit der Fakultät für Fremdsprachen/Institut für Germanistik an der Luigj Gurakuqi Universität Shkoder und der Österreich-Bibliothek Shkoder organisiert wurde. Seit 1994 kooperieren die beiden Unis zusammen, seit 1996 gibt es eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem Grazer Institut für Germanistik.

Insgesamt 32 WissenschafterInnen aus den Fächern Germanistik, Anglistik, Geschichte, Soziologie, Translationswissenschaft, Kunstgeschichte und Architektur (TU Graz) diskutierten zentrale Ansätze aus rezenten Forschungsprojekten. Beteiligt waren neben KollegInnen der Universitäten in Graz und Shkoder auch ForscherInnen der Universität Tirana und der Akademie der Wissenschaften in Wien. Weitere Kooperationen, unter anderem gemeinsame Publikationsprojekte, sind angedacht.

Around the world in eight stops: the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz

On 24 April from 5 pm, you can take a short trip around the globe at the University of Graz, discovering pecularities of foreign countries or new local features in the entrance hall of the University Library. The itinerary takes you through introduced animal species, political attitudes and the omnipotence of algorithms. There will also be a programme in the historic reading hall, as well as at the UniGraz@Museum and the University Archive.
