Das Weiße Kreuz in der Heinrichstraße setzt auf Hausmannskost

Eine Gastwirtschaft, gut & gediegen: Das „Zum weißen Kreuz“ in der Heinrichstraße setzt auf steirische (Hausmanns-)Kost und schmackhafte österreichische Küche. Von außen eher unscheinbar, punktet das Lokal vor allem durch ein gemütliches Ambiente im Gastraum. Highlight bei Schönwetter ist sicher der urige Gastgarten. Das Service ist schnell, freundlich und erfüllt auch gerne Änderungswünsche bei Beilagen und Größe des Gerichts.

Täglich werden von Lokal- und Küchenchef Jörg Wild zwei Mittagsmenüs frisch zubereitet. Im Schatten der alten Kastanienbäume schmecken die Testgerichte hervorragend: gebackener Kürbis mit Salat und Suppe um 7,10 €. Den größeren gemischten Salat gibt‘s um 70 Cent mehr. Die Portion geröstete – frische! – Eierschwammerl mit Salat um 9,30 € macht richtig satt. Der Leberknödel in der Suppe war anscheinend selbstgemacht, aber etwas schwach im Geschmack. Für den kleinen Hunger: Saure Extrawurst oder gegrillter Schafskäse. Fazit: Wer es gern gut bürgerlich am Mittagstisch hat, ist im Weißen Kreuz bestens aufgehoben.
