Zwei neue Honorarprofessuren an der Rechtswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Graz

Zwei renommierte österreichische Juristen wurden zu Honorarprofessoren der Universität Graz bestellt. Andreas J. Kumin, Absolvent der Rechtswissenschaften der Universität Graz und seit dem Vorjahr Richter am Gerichtshof der Europäischen Union, ist Honorarprofessor für das Fach „Europarecht“. Viktor Mayer-Schönberger, Professor of Internet Governance and Regulation an der Universität Oxford, wurde eine Honorarprofessur für die Fächer „Informationsrecht“ und „Rechtstheorie“ verliehen. Mayer-Schönberger hatte sich 2001 an der Rechtswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Graz für die Fächer Informationsrecht, Rechtsinformatik und Rechtstheorie habilitiert. Mit der Verleihung einer Honorarprofessur ist die Verpflichtung verbunden, regelmäßig unentgeltlich Lehrveranstaltungen im jeweiligen Fach abzuhalten.

„Die Fakultät freut sich, die neuen Mitglieder willkommen heißen zu können“, unterstreicht Dekan Christoph Bezemek: „Andreas Kumin und Viktor Mayer-Schönberger sind hervorragende Vertreter der jeweiligen Disziplin. Ihre Bestellung unterstreicht den Anspruch der Rechtswissenschaftlichen Fakultät, fachliche Exzellenz, praktische Relevanz und internationale Ausrichtung miteinander zu verknüpfen.“

Rescue and risks: Researchers have surveyed public perceptions of AI

The EU’s AI Act, which has been in force since then, also sets out how risky an application is and which security measures apply as a result. If this process becomes unbalanced, immune cells remain permanently active and continue to drive negative changes in the tissue,” explains Andreas Koeberle, a pharmacist at the University of Graz.
