Uni Graz hat SEPA-Umstellung vollzogen und bucht mit IBAN

BIC und IBAN – die beiden Begriffe des SEPA-Zahlungssystems der EU haben in den vergangenen Tagen für Schlagzeilen gesorgt. Während vielfach eine Verschiebung des Starts am 1. Februar heftig diskutiert wurde und wird, ist die Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz bestens auf den europaweit einheitlichen Zahlungsverkehr vorbereitet. Die Uni Graz hat die Umstellung auf SEPA schon seit Dezember des Vorjahres erfolgreich umgesetzt und ist für die EU-Verordnung gerüstet.

„Die Universität erspart sich damit Zahlungsspesen innerhalb der EU“, führt Elisabeth Adamek, Leiterin der Abteilung Buchhaltung und Bilanzierung, einen Vorteil ins Treffen.
Entscheidend ist, dass nun stets die vollständige und korrekte IBAN-Nummer bei Zahlungen – von Stipendien über Rückzahlung der Studienbeiträge bis hin zu Subventionen für Exkursionen – angegeben werden muss.
Im Bedarfsfall muss die Buchstaben- und Ziffernfolge in der Abteilung Buchhaltung und Bilanzierung auch überprüft werden – bei etwa 1500 Zahlungen pro Woche an der Uni Graz durchaus eine Herausforderung.
