Öffentliche Ringvorlesung an der Uni Graz

Die Frage nach der Dimension des Regionalen steht im Mittelpunkt einer interdisziplinären Ringvorlesung im Sommersemester 2014 an der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz. Lehrende des Instituts für Geschichte, an dem einer der Lehr- und Forschungsschwerpunkte „Regionalgeschichte mit Schwerpunkt Zentraleuropa“ verankert ist, und WissenschafterInnen anderer Fachdisziplinen behandelt in ihren Vorträgen dieses mannigfaltige Thema.

Jeweils am Dienstag von 15.15–16.45 Uhr im Hörsaal 06.02 (8010 Graz, Universitätsplatz 6) werden die ForscherInnen ihre Aspekte des Regionalen einer Öffentlichkeit weitergeben. Am 4. März führte ao. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. (mult.) Harald Heppner vom Institut für Geschichte in die Thematik ein. Am 11. März wird Univ.-Prof. Dr. Peter Scherrer vom Institut für Archäologie und auch Vizerektor für Forschung und Nachwuchsförderung Aspekte der Archäologie erläutern.

Around the world in eight stops: the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz

On 24 April from 5 pm, you can take a short trip around the globe at the University of Graz, discovering pecularities of foreign countries or new local features in the entrance hall of the University Library. The itinerary takes you through introduced animal species, political attitudes and the omnipotence of algorithms. There will also be a programme in the historic reading hall, as well as at the UniGraz@Museum and the University Archive.
