Die Universitätsbibliothek informiert bis 8. Juli mit eigenem Infostand über ihre Services

Ein großer Korb mit Brezen, eisgekühlte alkoholfreie Getränke, ein Modell der neuen Universitätsbibliothek spwie viel Teamgeist sind die Zutaten, die es braucht, um einen Informationsstand im Foyer der UB Graz zu betreiben. Mit einer eigenen Farewell-Feier stand der Freitag, 24. Juni 2016, ganz im Zeichen der offenen UB-Tür. Spezialführungen in verborgene Bereiche, Informationen über die Services während der Umbauphase und die Vorstellung des neuen Gebäudes waren Mittelpunkt der Veranstaltung. Rektorin Christa Neuper und UB-Leiter Dr. Werner Schlacher eröffneten den Stand offiziell.

Infostand bis 8. Juli 2016
Um die BenutzerInnen auf die heiße Umbau-Phase vorbereiten zu können, informieren bis 8. Juli 2016 täglich von zehn bis 14 Uhr MitarbeiterInnen der UB über das Projekt und die Services. Am Infostand in der Eingangshalle, die im Frühjahr nächsten Jahres abgerissen wird, liegt auch ein Heft auf, in das BenutzerInnen Wünsche und Anregungen zum Projekt #ubwirdneu liefern können.

Why does the body composition of babies vary so much? Some children gain a significant amount of fat mass within a few weeks, whilst others show hardly any change over the same period. “At the same time, initial observations suggest that fat distribution in all babies may follow a similar pattern, regardless of their total body fat,” explains Marco Höfler from the Institute of Movement Sciences, Sport and Health at the University of Graz. He is coordinating the research project ‘Small Bodies – Big Questions’, for which participants are currently still being sought: pregnant women and babies up to four weeks old.
