Die Bewusstseinsbildnerin

Petra Steinkellner aus dem GEWI-Dekanat unterstützt WissenschafterInnen bei der Antragstellung von Forschungsvorhaben und bei der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit

Das Tätigkeitsfeld von Petra Steinkellner ist breit: Neben administrativen Aufgaben fühlt sie sich vor allem als Bewusstseinsbildnerin an der GEWI-Fakultät. „Im Vorjahr habe ich zum Beispiel sehr viel Zeit darauf verwendet, Institute und Zentren dabei zu unterstützen, ihre Webauftritte in das TYPO3-System zu übertragen“, beschreibt sie. Dabei ging es nicht (nur) um technische Fragen, sondern viel mehr um die inhaltliche Aufbereitung der Homepages. „Ich versuche die MitarbeiterInnen an den Insitituten zu sensibilieren, ihre Forschungsthemen öffentlich zugänglich zu machen.“ An der Geisteswissenschaftlichen Fakultät ist sie Ansprechpartnerin für 900 Personen.

Schnittstelle
Petra Steinkellner hat den Überblick über alle gemeldeten Projekte an der Uni Graz und ist somit auch die Schnittstelle zwischen Wissenschaft und Öffentlichkeit. Weiters unterstützt sie seitens der Fakultät bei der Organisation von Veranstaltungen, berät bei der Antragstellung von Projektanträgen und Möglichkeiten der internen Vernetzung. Ihr Aufgabenbereich umfasst auch die Vermittlung zwischen WissenschafterInnen und zentralen Einrichtungen der Universität, wie dem Forschungsmanagement, der Pressestelle oder dem Veranstaltungsservice.

Around the world in eight stops: the Long Night of Research at the University of Graz

On 24 April from 5 pm, you can take a short trip around the globe at the University of Graz, discovering pecularities of foreign countries or new local features in the entrance hall of the University Library. The itinerary takes you through introduced animal species, political attitudes and the omnipotence of algorithms. There will also be a programme in the historic reading hall, as well as at the UniGraz@Museum and the University Archive.
