Infostelle und Homepage eingerichtet

Am 28. Dezember 2015 erhielt die Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz Informationen über einen Daten-Diebstahl im Ausmaß von rund 47 GB. Entwendet wurden die Daten im Wesentlichen im Zeitraum 2011 bis 2013. Bekannt wurde der Vorfall im Rahmen einer Konferenz des Chaos Computer Clubs in Hamburg. Die IT-Fachleute der Universität Graz konnten einen „Hack“ auf die Server und einen Zugriff auf zentrale Systeme ausschließen. Für Personen, die Fragen zum Datendiebstahl haben, hat die Universität Graz eine Anlaufstelle und eine Homepage unter dem Titel „Dateninfo“ eingerichtet. Die Plattform beinhaltet neben nützlichen Informationen zum Umgang mit Daten auch Tipps, wie MitarbeiterInnen und Studierende der Uni Graz sich vor Datenmissbrauch schützen können.

Über ein Online-Formular können Studierende, MitarbeiterInnen oder AbsolventInnen mit der Universität jederzeit in Kontakt treten. Nach eingehender Prüfung erfolgt persönlich eine Benachrichtigung, ob im jeweiligen Fall der Verdacht eines Datendiebstahls besteht.

Personen, die nicht in diese Gruppe (Studierende, MitarbeiterInnen und AbsolventInnen) fallen, können sich an die E-Mail dateninfo@uni-graz.at wenden.

Chronic inflammation plays a key role in many diseases, ranging from metabolic disorders and cardiovascular diseases to tissue damage following injuries or infections. “Normally, the body is able to resolve inflammation on its own. If this process becomes unbalanced, immune cells remain permanently active and continue to drive negative changes in the tissue,” explains Andreas Koeberle, a pharmacist at the University of Graz.
