Prof. Bahar TANYAŞ: "A Qualitative Study on Political Participation: Youth’s Perspective on Gezi Protests"
Bahar Tanyaş has worked at Okan University in Istanbul, Turkey since 2011. She is Vice Dean in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She got her undergraduate degree in psychology and MA degree in clinical psychology at Bogazici University, Istanbul. She got her MSc degree in psychological research methods and PhD in psychology at Birkbeck College, University of London. Her research interests are racism, discrimination, migration, political activism and youth. She is also interested in qualitative research methods, ethics, psychoanalysis and critical psychology. She has published on migration and edited a special issue on qualitative research methods in psychology. Currently, she is doing a research on Gezi Park Protests and youth in Turkey.
