Peer Mentoring

The first in your family to go to uni

Are you thinking about starting a degree or already a student? Perhaps you aren’t the kind to simply follow in other people’s footsteps, and are the first person in your family to attend university? Would you like to achieve something unprecedented?

We are here to help!

We are also first generation students so we know from personal experience the challenges you face as the first person in the family to go to university and/or if you are from a migrant background. As peer mentors at the University of Graz, our role is to support and assist you before and during your studies, so that you nurture your gifts and talents, make the decision to attend university education and do so successfully, regardless of your origins and background!

As we see it, peer mentoring is a partnership of equals, provided by students for other prospective and current students with the same background. We offer you individual advice and guidance, support you with our practical knowledge and help you to network at uni with other first generation students and find your feet.

We look forward to meeting you!
