The teacher training programme is organised and provided jointly by eight institutions working on a collaborative basis in the South-East Development Network (EVSO). In this study programme you will benefit from the combined strengths of all these institutions, and a broad range of study options. Your first school experience takes place as early as the second semester!
For the teacher training programme you must select at least two subjects or one subject as well as a specialist area of education.
Psychology/Philosophy as a teaching subject at the University of Graz
This teaching subject programme combines the disciplines of psychology and philosophy. The course content therefore includes sub-areas of psychology, such as general, biological or clinical psychology, as well as the history of the subject; you will also study the basic principles and history of philosophy, and ethics. In addition, you will learn how to approach academic work and be given a comprehensive grounding in teaching methodology.
Master’s programme in General Secondary Level Teacher Training – teaching the subject of Chemistry
The master’s programme in Psychology/Philosophy as a teaching subject builds directly on the bachelor’s programme, broadening and developing the knowledge and skills already acquired.
