Styrian research for small and medium-sized Styrian enterprises
Cooperation with science enhances the competitiveness of enterprises. In the initial phase though, a lack of support can often cause small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) without any experience in working together with academic institutions, to shy away from a university cooperation. The Project “Science Fit” makes a difference. Together with the Graz University of Technology, the University of Leoben, Joanneum Research and FH Campus 02, the University of Graz approaches Styrian SMEs, picks up specific business problems and provides scientific expertise to systematically enhance the dissemination and implementation of research results on the business level.
Besides visiting businesses, meeting experts and visiting regional information events, the business contact fair “Meet Hidden Champions” is staged once a year in the frame of Science Fit exclusively for Styrian SMEs. On this occasion, even less well-known enterprises can present themselves to students and graduates.
Science Fit is supported by the Economic Chamber of Styria, the City of Graz (Department of Business and Tourism Development) and the Province of Styria (Department of Science and Health).
