In global supply chains, human rights violations and damage to the environment occur time and again. Currently, we as consumers benefit from cheap prices and companies from higher profits. Others bear the costs. This is not fair. A good legal solution can help prevent damage and distribute remaining risks more fairly. That's why I'm currently looking at how corporate liability at the top of supply chains can help improve the situation. Because such challenges do not stop at borders, a pan-European perspective is needed. The international legal comparison shows which different regulations already exist in different countries, what works well and what can be built upon to arrive at an optimal solution.
