Aufbauend: Die Stadtterrasse beim Graz Center of Physics ist erreicht

Das Graz Center of Physics wächst zügig in die Höhe. Klaus Grill, Projektmanager der Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft, hat mit der Kamera interessante Einblicke in den Rohbau festgehalten.

Der Bau hat entlang der Harrachgasse die Ebene der sogenannten Stadtterrasse erreicht. Diese wird von außen über zwei großzügige Freitreppen öffentlich zugänglich sein und parkähnlich mit vielen Bäumen und Sträuchern gestaltet. Die Stadtterrasse verbindet das Universitätsgebäude mit der Stadt und bildet gleichzeitig die Zäsur zum obersten Baukörper, der zurückspringt. Insgesamt wird das Graz Center of Physics um etwa zehn Meter niedriger sein als die ehemalige Vorklinik.
Auf Hochtouren wird bereits im Inneren des Bauwerks gearbeitet. Vor allem in den Untergeschoßen werden die technischen Installationen fertiggestellt sowie die baulichen Anforderungen für die Speziallabore umgesetzt, auch erste Malerarbeiten werden im Laufe der kommenden Wochen beginnen.

The aim is to provide other historians with a tool to preserve cultural heritage when expensive research equipment is not available. This includes Manuela Temmer, an astrophysicist at the University of Graz. The scientist confirms that this celestial phenomenon offers significant value for research: “During a solar eclipse, the corona can be observed more clearly than with any instrument.”
