graduated from the university of graz (austria) in 2004 with a thesis
entitled "infinite-dimensional
semi-smooth newton and augmented lagrangian methods for friction and
contact problems in elasticity" under the supervision of karl kunisch;
after my civilian service with the oehtb
in vienna i spent one year as a postdoc at cmuc (portugal).
currently i'm a post-doctoral researcher at ices, ut austin (usa). my main
research interests are large scale optimization, inverse problems and
scientific computing.
