A place that I have visited recently
Note:
I am currently on a long time journey that leads me through the Indian subcontinent. You may still send email, but don't expect anything when it comes to replies.

The picture on the right shows a random place I have visited. Click to browse my travelling route in chronological order, or in reverse order, or start with a random picture. Since I am too lazy to write an explanation for each of those, you will have to guess the place names.

ANY BROWSER This WEB site is carefully designed to display well with any browser out there. Currently, only two elements not contained in HTML 4.0 are used: The <NOBR> container and the frameborder attribute, neglection of which should not have drastic adverse effects. I provide a custom DTD based on HTML 4.0 Trasnsitional so that my pages validate correctly with the WDG validator. The W3C validator does not support Custom DTDs, and attempts to validate my HTML with that program will lead to error reported for each used of <NOBR> and frameborder. Lastly, all pages at this site conform to Bobby accessibilty standard.

I regularily test my HTML and my JavaScripts with a variety of different browsers: Some old Netscape 4.x versions (Linux, Unix, Windows XP), Internet Explorer (version 6.0, Windows XP), several Gecko-based browsers (Netscape 6 and 7, Mozilla 1.x, Konqueror) and Opera (Linux, version 6.0). Not everything runs perfect with every browser, but I have not seen serious shortcomings.

JavaScript has now become rather stable. My JavaScripts have serious problems with Internet Explorer 3 (but who does not have problems with that browser?) and Opera up to version 5.0; I try to support Netscape Navigator 4.x, but I cannot guarantee for success. Because of severe defects in their implementation, JavaScript support has been somewhat limited for WebTV users. CSS level 1 is used for presentational effects and works smoothly with almost all browsers tested (excluding Netscape Navigator 4.x, but that's no surprise). CSS level 2 is employed only sparingly because of limited browser support. If you see quotes in this sentence, then your browser supports at least some CSS 2.

Please notify me if you encounter any problems; don't forget to mention browser (name and version), operating system and URL. Please be as specific as possible. X
