The International Society of Heterocyclic Chemistry (ISHC) announces the
2009 ISHC
Senior Award in Heterocyclic Chemistry
sponsored by Pfizer Inc.
The award will be presented to Professor Samuel Danishefsky at the 22st
ISHC Congress in St John’s, Newfoundland, Canada August 2-7, 2009
Award US$ 5.000
The ISHC Senior Award has been awarded to H. van der Plas in 1981, R.
Castle in 1983, T. Kametani in 1985, R. Huisgen in 1987, E. C. Taylor in
1989, W. Pfleiderer in 1991, A. R. Katritzky in 1993, C. W. Rees in 1995,
A. I. Meyers in 1997, A. Padwa in 1999, V. Snieckus in 2001, T. Fukuyama
in 2003, L. E. Overman in 2005, and K.C. Nicolaou in 2007.

Katritzky Junior Award in Heterocyclic Chemistry

The award will be presented to Professor John Wood at the 22st ISHC Congress in St John’s,
Newfoundland, Canada August 2-7, 2009
Award US$ 3.000
The ISHC Katritzky Junior Award in Heterocyclic chemistry has been
awarded to D. L. Boger in 1997,
T. Gallagher in 1999, W. H. Pearson in 2001, P. Wipf in 2003, A. Fürstner
in 2005, and David Macmillan in 2007.
The ISHC Awards in Heterocyclic Chemistry are presented every two years
on the occasion of the International Congress of Heterocyclic Chemistry
(ICHC).
Nominations must be submitted, by September 1, 2010, for the
2011 ISHC and Katritsky awards to:
