Responsibilities for the institute: Library incl. acquisition

The library of the Institute of Botany contains some 17 000 volumes (excl. journals) and a rich reprint collection (including J. Poelt’s former private library). Furthermore over 100 biological journals are permanently held. Unfortunately only recent acquisitions (after 1993) of books can be searched electronically via Yorick. The major part is accessible at the moment only by use of a card-index.

If you are interested to see which books we incorporated recently in our library go forward to this page.
