Biographical Data:

Born in 1939; studies of Philosophy and Physics at Graz; Ph.D. 1971; since 1971 lecturer in philosophy of science, especially of physics, University of Graz; since 1972 lecturer in philosophy and methodology of natural sciences, Technical University of Graz; since 1995 lecturer in philosophy and methodology of economy, Technical University of Vienna.


Areas of Research:

Philosophy and methodology of the natural sciences, especially physics; structure and dynamics of theories; philosophy and methodology of theories of evolution and self-organization; interdisciplinary approaches to communication between the natural and the social sciences.


Philosophical Orientation:

Committed to a "hypercritical realism" and works at the construction of "general theory of reality".
