BioMedMath Network

Goals

The proposed design of this sequence of events can serve the goal of promoting the development of a
network of researchers in related biomedical modeling areas. This network will be referred to as
BioMedMath . The potential to stimulate such a network lies in the intersection of mutual areas of interest
in mathematical techniques and the interdisciplinary nature of this area of research.

By establishing links between current and prospective researchers, these events can further this
goal. It is not assumed that all school participants or workshop participants will attend all events, however, some multiple visits should be anticipated and more importantly it is expected that for each new event colleagues and collaborators of participants of earlier events may attend and further promote the existence
of contacts between researchers and institutions. Contact between school participants and established researchers via the workshops will allow for the groundwork to be laid for post-doctoral opportunities and future collaborations. The fact that there will be a sequence of related events should provide further momentum for developing a broader network of biomedical researchers as each school will provide
participants of all events a resource and opportunity to contact potential new colleagues. The surveys and interactive features on this page can provide a useful resource point for other events, job postings, and
interaction.

The program scientific committee and key EU organizations provide important support for this project.
