SUPPORT
The following information is important for eligbility and application of support
- Who is eligible for financial support? Support is principally (by proportion) reserved for applicants
from EU and EU associated countries. Furthermore, the Marie Curie Action has defined categories of applicants eligible for support.
The summer school student eligible categories for support can be found HERE. Note again that the School Application Form automatically includes request for support.
- Funding Organization Financial support for students is sponsored by the European Union under the program Marie Curie Conferences and Training Courses.
- Application for financial support is automatically included in the web SCHOOL APPLICATION FORM.
This web application is the only way to apply to the school. One letter of recommendation must be sent to the school email address by the writer of the letter.

SCHOOL APPLICATION FORM
- School Acceptance and Support Support is automatically granted to support-eligible students upon acceptance to the school.
- Is a Non-EU citizen who is living or studying in EU eligible? An applicant who is not an EU citizen but who is living or studying in EU may be eligible. Please contact us about this at BioMedMath@uni-graz.at.
- A limited number of places are available for non-EU citizens not in the EU. Contact the school about
eligibility.
- What is included in the financial support? Support
includes EU calculated
travel expenses, full support for room and 3 meals for the 14 school days including arrival on July 22, registration, attendance of allclasses, class materials, and workshop attendance.
- Financial support deadlines: After the first deadline for application
submission, the selection process will award support. If further support remains, the applications at the second deadline will be
evaluated for support. Hence to ensure the best chance of acceptance, please apply as early as possible. See the
KEY DATES link for deadlines.
- How is acceptance to the school determined? Given the limited funds and seating, the acceptance to the school is competitive, based on review of the application by an acceptance committee. The outline of acceptance criteria is posted HERE. Note again that a letter of recommendation must also be provided by the applicant, but submitted by the letter writer to the school email address.
