  Pharmaceutical relevant products from natural sources are the main topic of several research activities and chemical synthesis of our institute.

• Drug Development
  
  Target oriented synthesis of new pharmaceutical lead substances including modern hetero- and carbocyclic chemistry and structure elucidation, is the main topic of the Drug Development Section of the institute. Presently, the investigations are concentrated on the design, synthesis and testing of new-type enzyme inhibitors with antifungal, antibacterial and antiinflammatory effects.
