Tuition fee
According to section 92, paragraph 9 UG 2002 (Universities Act 2002), citizens of countries determined by the Federal Minister according to appendix 1 and 2 StubeiVO (Tuition Fee Decree 2004) have to pay half the tuition fee (€ 363.36 per semester) in the first academic year. At the beginning of the third semester, upon the student’s petition, an evaluation will determine if students according to appendix 1 StubeiVO with a non-Austrian high school diploma have positively completed at least 24 ECTS credits worth of examinations in the two previous semesters. If this is the case, the tuition fee for the two preceding semesters will be reimbursed in the form of a social contribution. In the second academic year, students also have to pay a tuition fee of € 363.36 per semester. The evaluation of the above mentioned workload of 24 ECTS credits will be repeated at the beginning of each odd semester.
All tuition fees are waived for students according to appendix 3 StubeiVO.
This regulation comes into effect in winter semester 2007 for all students from countries listed in appendix 1 and 2 StubeiVO.
