Journals/newspapers

Printed journals and newspaper are located in the main library, in the faculty and subject libraries or in the departments (see libraries). The university library Graz has subscribed to about 3.000 printed and 7.500 electronic scientific journals. In the journal reading room there are also about 180 loose-leave collections concerning different subjects (see open access collections at the main library).

You will find articles in the Electronic Journals Library (EZB) (see below) or by means of bibliographic databases.

Directories

In journal catalogues you can find titles and holdings of journals, but not contained are articles (you will find these in the electronic journals library (see below) or by means of bibliographic databases.

• Online catalogue UB Graz (entirely as of 1993). Tip: Choose title search via „index“ to get the best results.

• German database for serial titles/Deutsche Zeitschriftendatenbank (ZDB)

• Electronic Journal Library (EZB) (volumes before 1995 are very often NOT accessible despite a continuous subscription!)

• At the university library Graz entire volumes of journals can be found in the open access area of the main library as well as of the faculty and the subject libraries (download of the shelf classifications as pdf).
