Goals - Qualification Profile
The pedagogical goal is to make students familiar with related concepts, doctrines, problems and methods and to find answers to fundamental theoretical, practical and moral questions through a critical and systematic approach. The aim is to
trace interdisciplinary relations
foster competence in expression and argumentation
develop flexible conceptual skills
analyze and reflect on problem solutions and convictions
cultivate reflective perspectives on moral, political and ideological issues
participate in multi- and interdisciplinary discourses
Occupational Areas
Philosophy is not a vocational subject, but studying it prepares graduates for a number of occupations because the increasingly specialized knowledge in modern society demands a corrective, action-oriented, encompassing way of looking at things, and because it develops a wide range of transferable skills such as the ability to argue, reason and express oneself clearly.
