The meeting gathers the leading researchers in yeast cell death and aging research to present their latest findings.

There will be sessions devoted to the understanding of molecular mechanisms of cell death and cell aging, as well as sessions on the evolutionary aspects of apoptosis.

The congress is held once a year in different places all over the world.

Next years' congress (2009) will be held in Graz, Austria.
