Wetterstation der Universität Graz
University of Graz - Meteorological Station (47.08°N / 15.45°E, 366m)
Head: Ulrich Foelsche (mailto, phone 380-8590)
Vice-head: Christoph Bichler (mailto, phone 380-5259, 998-8490)

The Graz University's meteorological station is part of the Institute for Geophysics, Astrophysics, and Meteorology, Institute of Physics. It consists of a semi-automatic meteorological station (TAWES) and a conventional meteorological station. The TAWES-data are transfered via user-to-user connection to the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG) in Vienna.

Tawes-Data:
The data presented here are untested raw data. The use of pictures or data from this web portal is permitted for uncommercial purpose only. You can get tested data from the ZAMG - Regionalstelle fuer die Steiermark.

The following monitoring network involvements exist additionally:
Monitoring Network for Isotopes Austria - Precipitation:
Our station is one of ANIP’s measuring stations. ANIP is the Austrian monitoring network for the isotopes oxygen-18, deuterium and tritium in precipitation water. The collected precipitation water is sent in for analyses. The data are online with open access at Wasserinformationssystem Austria.
Local dosis output measuring station:
There is a gamma radiation measuring station run by the Austrian radiation protection system (current data here) in the area of our Meteorological Station. (Please find background information and a diagram of the Graz data since 1983 in Jahresbericht 2008-2009 [pdf-Download, Graz data on p. 26].)
