What are the consequences of global climate change for Styria and other regions of the world? What are the impacts of climate change on our local environment?

These are the basic questions that motivate the work of the ReLoClim Research Group. Regional climate models are applied and refined at very high resolution and provide the basis for interdisciplinary investigations of the regional impacts of climate change. Recent applications of our research includes studies about drought- and hail damage risks in agriculture, extreme precipitation and flooding, and heating and cooling energy demand.
