Regional technology transfer initiatives for small and middle-sized enterprises

The University of Graz plays an important role for the Styrian economy. Active knowledge transfer initiatives have resulted in a number of successful co-operations with small and middle-sized enterprises in the region. In order to promote the transfer of technology and knowledge, the Office of Research Management and Service acts as a broker for joint projects of companies with experts and students of the University. Examples are master and doctoral theses, feasibility studies and mission-oriented research (R&D collaboration). Possible co-operations are discussed, taking into account human resources, infrastructure, costs and funding opportunities.

Academics, scientists and students of the University of Graz get comprehensive support to secure their research results and innovative inventions by the protection of intellectual property rights.
