The fields of activity of the Office of Research Management and Service of the University of Graz include advising and services for:

In detail, the Office of Research Management and Service provides the following services to the university’s researchers:
- Consulting on EU research projects (Seventh EU Framework Programme)
- Advising on national funding programmes (Austrian Science Fund (FWF), Austrian National Bank (OeNB) etc.)
- Information on funding programs at the university (grants, subsidies for printing costs etc.)
- Legal counselling for all research related areas
- Advising on the financial calculation of research projects
- Inventor consulting
- Support for cooperation projects (e.g. with regional businesses)
- Founder consulting
Additional activities of the service desk for researchers at the University of Graz:
- Coordination of strategic projects in research
- Representation in national and international committees on the topic of research
- Development of service-oriented processes and user-friendly tools
- Administration of grants at the university
- Dealing with third-party projects on the topic of research management
The Office of Research Management and Service reports to the Vice Rector for Research and Continuing Education (Irmtraud Fischer).
The office is open Monday till Friday from 9:00 to 16:00. Consultations are also possible on appointment outside office hours.
