Research Promotion

Research promotion means supporting individual projects and research cooperations, awarding outstanding accomplishments in research as well as promoting the university’s infrastructure and academic contacts. The focus here is on both national and international programmes.

The Office of Research Management and Service provides individual advising for scholars and young academics in applying for research projects:

• Active assistance in writing and submitting project applications
• Development of project concepts and ideas
• Advising and information on research programmes of the European Commission, especially on the Seventh EU Framework Programme
• Information on preparatory and additional funding of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG)
• Information on mobility programmes for researchers
• Advising and information on national funding programmes (Austrian Science Fund (FWF), Austrian National Bank (OeNB) etc.)
• Information on the content and deadlines of current and future announcements
• Screening of funding programmes according to suitable providers of funds for the project idea
• Information on funding programmes at the university (grants, subsidies for printing costs etc.)
• Events and workshops
• Legal counselling on research related areas

The newsletter of the Office of Research Management and Service contains national and international announcements, tips on events and research related information.
