Founded in 1585, the University of Graz is one of Austria’s largest and distinguished academic institutions. With more than 31,500 students and 3,900 employees, the university contributes significantly to the vibrant life of the Styrian capital.
Your partner for education
With its six faculties, the University of Graz boasts a wide range of educational opportunities. More than one hundred study programmes are available. In view of the European Bologna system and students’ international mobility, we chiefly offer bachelor’s and master’s programmes.
A regional motor
As a modern place of research in diverse disciplines, the University of Graz combines top-quality research in numerous projects and cooperation programmes on a national and international level. The successful Twin Faculty “NAWI Graz” consolidates research and teaching in the field of natural science as well as in Styria as a scientific hub.
The university’s research performance is bundled in seven interdisciplinary and inter-university focuses. Renowned contemporary scientists successfully continue the work of six Nobel laureates who once researched and taught at our university.
Whether it be ecological awareness, reduced emissions or more sustainability, the University of Graz is comitted to all these aspects in research, teaching and management.
