Terror in den USA: Schreiben der Uni Graz an US-amerikanische Partner-Universitäten

TO ALL PARTNER INSTITUTIONS IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Dear colleagues,

We at Karl-Franzens-University in Graz have been horrified by the tragic and appalling terrorist attacks in America. We wish to
extend our deepest sympathy during this dreadful time. The magnitude of these crimes have shaken the whole world, and our hearts go out to the victims, their families and the entire American nation.

If your students are currently on exchange in Graz, we would like to assure you that we have and will continue to offer support during
these terrible times. Our prime concern has been to help them to contact their families and loved ones back home. We have seen and talked to the students repeatedly over the last 2 days and they are coping with the situation as well as could be expected. We will, of course, continue to offer every assistance.
Please do not hesitate to contact us, if you have any questions or concerns about your students.

Let us not allow these terrorists to create mistrust and hatred between nations and cultures. We feel that one way of achieving this is to continue our exchange programs and we are looking forward to giving a very warm welcome to those students and academics who are planning to come to Graz in the near future.
